High School, Youth, Pro, Club Athlete Training, Speed Training, Endurance Training, Agility Training, Rancho Cucamonga, California EM Speed and Power Training - in Rancho Cucamonga, and Orange County works with high school, college, professional and Olympic athletes to get faster stronger, more explosive, more strength, better agility and in top condition for their sport.

All EM trainers must meet certain criteria, because it is the ‘responsible’ thing for a training company, that works with youth, to do. Nobody else does this .. Scary, huh?

In addition to having played Professional or College sports, EM Trainers are certified by the National Association of Sports Medicine, have a degree in kinesiology or other ‘regulated’ sports medicine governing body – not just an ‘internal company generated certification’. We are sports training experts.

John Daniels | Master Trainer / Training Coordinator / Program Development
Coach John 'JD' Daniels was a strength coach at USC under Coach Carlisle, and has an extensive resume of professional and collegiate athletes that have exploded under his direction. John also makes sure that the quality of training is consistent throughout all EM facilities.





Robert Gonzales | Trainer / Sales Manager
Robert is a former LeMoyne College Baseball player with his specialty in ‘ground – based’ fitness. His Division One background and education is geared toward change of direction, vertical jumping and explosive speed.






Jono Green | EM Master Trainer / Program Development
As an Athletic and Academic Scholarship basketball player Columbus, Ohio, Jonathan has a bachelors degree with a background in his major of health and fitness. Jon was not only a great athlete, he was named to the National Deans List two straight years.. Jon’s experience is performing physical assessments for athletes, realizing weaknesses and setting goals. He is extremely excited to make a great difference in the performance of athletes!



Jeremy Fischer | EM Master Trainer
Former Assistant Coach at Oklahoma University, EM Trainer Jeremy Fischer, CSCS, has trained athletes at the Olympic Training Center, is an author in nutrition and strength and conditioning and has trained the NCAA USA National Champion in the Triple Jump. As an athlete, Jeremy was a world-class high jumper at Wisconsin where he earned All-America and All-Big Ten honors during his time as a Badger and placed seventh at the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials. He graduated in 1998 with a degree in molecular biology/nutritional science.


Mike Ashman / Hitting Coach / Clinics
Mike Ashman has served as Head Baseball Coach at Cal Poly Pomona for the past 15 years. He has also been a Batting Practice Consultant with the LA Angels for the past 11 years, he has thrown batting practice for the team since 2000 including throwing batting practice before Game 7 of the 2002 World Series.





Pam Newton | Hitting & Fielding Coach 2 time ASA National Champion, a Team USA World Gold Medallist, 2 - time USA National Junior Developmental Coach of the Year and is Team USA Junior National Head Coach. Hitting, Slapping, Fielding and Pitching Instruction.






Chris Prieto
| Hitting, Fielding & Pitching Coach
A 14 year professional baseball veteran, Chris played with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, Oakland Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals and the Houston Astros organizations. Chris was also offered a Division One basketball scholarship. In addition to speed and strength training, Chris also heads the EM baseball skills division.



Mike Smith | Softball Pitching Coach
Responsible for getting over 140 pitchers to college, Coach Mike himself was one of the top professional fast-pitch softball pitchers. Respected by College Coaches across the nation, Mike will get you right.





Charlie Briseno | Baseball Coach
15 years coaching experience in Little League, Pony, High School and Club Baseball with 1st place fining in all major Travel Baseball organizations - USSSA, So Call super Series, Triple Crown and AAV.





Dr. Taylor Bladh, O.D. | Nike Vision / Sensory Training Director
EM is pleased to offer SENSORY TRAINING, the next paradigm in sports performance preparation. Administered by Dr Taylor Bladh, O.D., who has been part of a Nike/Acuvue pilot program to implement this new technology for over 2 years.
EM Vision and Sensory Training begins with a customized evaluation of each athlete’s abilities in 10 critical areas of sports related vision. Then Dr. Bladh formulates and individualized program to improve your sports vision, reaction and quickness.

Joan Boesel | PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Joan Boesel is the co-owner of Sports Medicine Institute with over 21 years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine. Her professional memberships include: The American Physical Therapy Association, The Association of Surgical Shoulder and Elbow Therapists, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Joan is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a graduate of the Ola Grimsby Institute for Manual Therapy. Joan was a member of the Oregon State University Women's Softball Team and specializes in shoulder and elbow injuries to throwing athletes.

Peter Morris | PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS
Peter is co-owner of Sports Medicine Institute and a graduate from Loma Linda University. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.




Kelli Sento | BA, PTA, CSCS
Kelli received her Bachelor's degree in biology from CSUF and went on to receive her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Mt. St. Mary's College. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy
Association. Kelli enjoys running, going camping, motorcycle riding and taking trips to the beach with her family. She also is fluent in Spanish and has worked at SMI since 2002.
